About

About Our Founder

I am Richele Stamper, educator and lifelong learner. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, I moved to Atlanta in 1996 with my husband (who is also an educator). We have raised three excellent young people, in hopes that they will be lifelong learners too!

I have been in education for over 20 years, including the time I was a stay-at-home mom. We had our own school time, reading, learning our letters, letter sounds and numbers, counting, adding, reading some more and even taking field trips to the library, museums and nature centers.

When all three of my children were in a public-school setting, I also went back to school to receive my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University and later to Kennesaw University to receive my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. In 2015, I was honored to be the first Pre-K Teacher in Georgia to receive the Atlanta Families’ Award of Excellence in Education (now Teach on Project). I was an educator with Fulton County School Systems for eight years. I am now in my third year as an educator with Atlanta Public Schools.

About Firm Foundation

My heart has always been with the younger students and I have enjoyed teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade. So many times, our younger students get overlooked and the focus is on the “testing grades”, which is why I started Firm Foundation Academy.

At Firm Foundation Academy, LLC, we serve students PK – 5th grade, with a focus on grades PK – 2nd. We provide academic support, as well as help build self-esteem and provide motivation to students so that THEIR foundation is strong and secure. It is our goal to build a solid foundation so that our students will become lifelong learners.

At Firm Foundation Academy, we are building a strong foundation that will support student’s emotional, social, and academic growth. As the challenges of life come, having a strong, sturdy foundation will help our students stand tall and not waiver. The beginning years are so crucial to a student’s success: these years are the foundation on which they can build on and build up.

Our Mission: To lay a firm foundation academically, socially and emotionally for all students to build upon

Our Vision: For all students to be lifelong learners

Our Core Beliefs:

  • Every student can learn and succeed.
  • Every student should have a safe, positive environment.
  • Every student should feel comfortable in their learning environment.
  • Every student should be appreciated for their efforts.
  • Every student can be strong and confident lifelong learners
